Agilopolis Community Day 10
Agilopolis is proud to invite you for Agilopolis Community Day 10.
ACD9 - Why developers produce legacy code in Scrum projects and what to do about it? took place on Thursday 18.11.2010, brought about 50 people to Tieto premises , where the main speaker were Grzegorz Dziemidowicz & Łukasz Szydło (Tieto Poland). Workshop became short after discussion and we were not able to go through whole presentation being more then hour delayed! Nice.
Meeting agenda:
ACD10: Can agile project management become company's competitive advantage?
Discussion will be based on the product manager's point of view. During the lecture a project will be described as seen by product manager. Both the in-house development and outsourced development scenarios will be discussed, with focus on the latter. The main question addressed is whether managing projects with agile can differentiate your company and provide competitive advantage on the market. Especially in the case of outsourced development, the method the project is managed and communicated to product manager can have direct impact on the future purchase orders. As agile is by definition customer-centric methodology it should provide natural advantage over more traditional methods. Is it always the case? What impact has the user of agile on the provider-purchaser relationship? What are the pitfalls of using agile methods? What agile can you do to actually repel the customer?
